About the song
The Star of Munster is one of those classic Irish reels, which sounds great on any instrument,
but I love it on the fiddle.
I put the Air at the start and end of the song to give me a bit of a break from the frantic fiddling!
The first time I played this live was busking on the streets of Gloucester.
Great to lighten up the Sunday afternoon of people as they passed by. Other things that occurred that
session, were two Gloucester church goers giving me a muffin and coffee - (cheers!), a 5 year old
kid asking his mum if he could learn the fiddle, a pidgeon doing it's business on my fiddle case,
and giving away most of the busking money to a homeless chap who was after some cigarettes.
All in all everyones a winner - and I recorded the song when I got home. Nice one!
